Refracting Africa curates small group community-based tours to several sites across Africa and the broader African diaspora.
Misafara (Caravans)
"Misafara," the Swahili word for caravans, is a journey that delves into the history of the East African coast, focusing on the colonial-era slave trade. This experience includes visits to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania's bustling business capital; the historic town of Bagamoyo; the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Kilwa Kisiwani; the pristine beaches of Zanzibar; and a thrilling wildlife safari in Nyerere National Park.
Baba Yangu (My Father)
