Who will be the group leader for the tour, and what is their role?

The group leader is an experienced and knowledgeable professional who will guide the group throughout the tour. They are responsible for ensuring the itinerary runs smoothly, providing insights about the destinations, and assisting with any questions or concerns. Each group leader is passionate about establish community with the group to learn and have fun.

What is included in the tour package?

This varies depending on the tour. All tours will include accommodations, some meals, transport (air, road, and ferries), entry fees to attractions, guided tours, and some activities. Excludes personal expenses, tips, and certain optional activities. Please check the specific tour destination page for details. Airfare, visas, and vaccines are excluded from the package.

What is the group size, and can I stay in my own room?

Group tours range from 6 to 12 people. It is expected that people will share rooms. If you want your own room please note this in the pre-departure form. We will try to accommodate your wishes depending on availability, no guarantees. Note that there will be single supplement fee for a private room.

Is the itinerary flexible?

The itinerary is usually fixed for group tours, but free time and optional activities are often available at each destination and are noted in the itinerary. Please check the specific tour destination page for details.

What should I pack for the trip?

For all tours, client should pack comfortable clothing, sturdy walking shoes, swimwear, sunscreen, insect repellent, and travel documents (passport, visa, etc.). Packing lists may vary by season and/or destination. Please check tour destination specific FAQs for more details

What languages do the guides and group leaders speak?

Group leader will speak English fluently. Tour guides usually speak English fluently. In some locations, guides fluent in other languages (e.g., French, Spanish, or German) may be available depending on the tour destination. Please contact us if you would like more details.

What type of accommodation will we stay in?

Accommodations include mid-range hotels and lodges that blend comfort and convenience, providing the perfect retreat after a day of exploration.

Do I need a visa to visit Tanzania?

Do I need vaccinations or any other medication?

Travelers should check recommended vaccinations and health precautions for Tanzania. Commonly suggested vaccines include Yellow Fever, Hepatitis A/B, Typhoid, and routine immunizations. Malaria is present in some areas, so preventive medication may be advised. Wi-Fi is available in most hotels and lodges, but speeds can be slow, especially in remote areas. Mobile network coverage is generally good in cities and towns but may be limited in national parks and rural regions. For reliable connectivity, travelers can purchase a local SIM card from providers like Airtel, Vodacom, or Tigo upon arrival. If your phone supports eSIM, you can also use international eSIM providers like Airalo or Holafly, which allow you to activate a data plan before arriving in Tanzania. What should I pack for the trip?

Packing for a group tour to Tanzania depends on the season and planned activities, but comfortable, lightweight, and breathable clothing is essential, especially for warm days and cooler evenings. Neutral-colored clothing is recommended for safaris to blend in with the environment. Comfortable walking shoes, a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen are useful for outdoor activities, while insect repellent is important for protection against mosquitoes. A light rain jacket may be needed, especially during the green season.
